~10% would make sense in a PPS (pay per share) model, but this is PPLNS (pay per las N shares), so that 10% is not necessarily guaranteed, but over a long period of time yes, you would average at aroudn this. See the FAQ , it explains PPLNS and what factors in. As to why you are still at 0 ETH - simple, no blocks were found by this pool while you are in with us. At Dwarfpool you would be getting daily rewards because that pool is large and finds plenty of blocks in a day. Here, with a low hash rate, we have a high variance, meaning we can go even weeks without finding a block or we can find two in a day like it happened earlier this week. When we do find a block however, do expect a significantly larger payout per block than at Dwarfool. I am a small miner, just 30Mh/s and I got >0.1Eth in that single day when we hit the 2 blocks - it would roughly equate to my contribution. I was lucky though that this is PPLNS, since I wasn't around mining for the 2nd block and still got a payout as the shares from the first block were also included in due to the short period between the two.  PPLNS is rewarding for loyalty, but also gives you a chance to get a reward if you are temporarily not mining and miss being around when the block is found.

This was a nice read! Aren't the blocks coming in even faster than under a minute? I am seeing 3-5 blocks per minute, so that probably averages at around 15secs per block.

I am a small hobby miner on my work-at-home desktop, and will add a 2nd GPU before Xmas. I know it's a tiny bit, but we are a hive! :)

The minimum payout is 0.01Eth as you can see in the pool stats. It is payed out automatically when you reach that threshold.

The latest one ethminer 0.12.0 . I'm on Windows 10.

Switching to Claymore for now to get some shares in. I would appreciate if someone could test ethminer and see if they are getting it to work with poolmining.org . The bat file I used previously that worked had the following:
ethminer --farm-recheck 2000 -U -SP 2 -S eth.poolmining.org:3072 -O wallet.worker

Tried, still the same issue. I am suspecting it might be something local, even-though ethminer works for me with other pools. Will try some debugging and forum research. Either way, could someone test ethminer with this pool and see if they're getting through?

To clarify. It's ethminer that's not working for me. Claymore works.

I tested claymore instead of ethminer, and that one works. So whatever updates you did over the week might have made your pool not work with ethminer. Anyone else mining through ethminer ?

Yeah, I am not terminating anything myself, it just keeps saying "CUDA0     Can't submit solution: Not connected" . I quickly tested two other pools, both are working fine for me.
