Money estimation

Mahmood 7 years ago updated by happyserendipity 7 years ago 1

I want to estimate the achievements of Monero. Is a 1.5KH/s a good for a period of 6 months? Can I reach 1 XMR?

Ethereum Classic Pool back online

Oliver 7 years ago 0

Our Ethereum Classic Pool is back after a longer hiatus caused by Parity no longer reliably reporting work to the pool. For that reason it would have been irresponsible to let it stay online until the problem is solved. Switching to geth appears to be working reliably, so the pool is now back online.

Next up is the Ethereum Pool, I'll keep you posted.

DNS error for xmr.coinfoundry.org

Mahmood 7 years ago updated by Oliver 7 years ago 6

I use "xmr.coinfoundry.org:3032" for xmrig (cpu and gpu version). However, I get

[xmr.coinfoundry.org:3032] DNS error: "unknown node or service"

What should I do? I can ping coinfoundry.org but not xmr.coinfoundry.org

$ ping xmr.coinfoundry.org
ping: xmr.coinfoundry.org: Name or service not known
$ ping coinfoundry.org

Monero minimum payout

r00k 7 years ago updated by Oliver 7 years ago 2

Hi Oliver,

With the new protocol (Monero V9/ CNv2) with Bulletproofs now active...

Will Coinfoundry lower (adjust) its Monero(XMR) minimum payout and fees ?

Thanks

LiteCoin Pool Page Very Slow To Load

Mike Crawford 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

It often takes a minute or more to load after I click the link on Coinfoundry's homepage.

Just now I got "504 Gateway Time-out".

Perhaps the problem is that the pool is very small - just nine miners yesterday - so the data that the pool web page software has to work with is always swapped out when I click the link, then it takes a long time for the server's memory manager unit to swap back in.

Monero pool down until tommorow

Oliver 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

I had to take down the monero pool until tommorow because the code that activated with today's PoW change contains a bug that did not manifest itself during testing and that wreaked havoc in memory, causing other pools to reject all shares. The code in question was borrowed from Xmrig.

I will write a detailed post-mortem report tommorow. For now I advise miners to switch to another pool.

So, If I quit for some unfortunate reason. Will I still get a share if a new block is found?
