It's been more than a month now for XMR pool to find a block. The last payment was made on 14th November, which I guess was when the block found too.

You don't have to download the entire blockchain. There are various nodes which you can use instead. They act as a cache. The sync should be complete in a few minutes. That's what I did.

Put this as your daemon address and port number in your GUI wallet settings:

node.moneroworld.com:18089

Your balance is released in proportion to your shares only after a block is found by the pool. Since this is a very small pool, it takes time to find a block. The average time going by previous records is around a month.


Once a block is found, your balance will be updated and your shares reset. 


In larger pools, they have a lot of miners (and thus a lot of hash rate behind them), so they keep finding blocks regularly. It's not the same here.
