I gave monero a try again and it seems to be working. 

Does anyone know what's wrong with ZEC and how two people seem to be able to connect to it but no-one else?

What happened to Oliver? Its Monday and still no word.

I'm still getting connection closed errors but I see there a 3 miners able to connect. 

I've tried ports 3036 and 3037 as well as the default 3038 but get the same errors.

How are those 3 miners able to mine?

This is a problem. Its still not connecting. At least 11 hours now.

I'm pretty sure if your miner is working its being logged. It would have to be for it to accept shares. I believe the only problem right now is that the server that relays that info to us is down.

If your miner is chugging along you should be fine I think but others know more about this. It may just be that the server that relays the info to you is down. If it can get work from the site and do that work it should be recording that work.

Zec did the same thing. I haven't seen any indication so far that staff is aware of the issue.

I'm not sure how long they keep your hashes valid after you stop mining but I know I've stopped mining and still received a share of a found block several days after stopping. The share still needs to be big enough for it to pay out to your wallet though of course.

But even at that, I've seen people request to have it paid out before when they've stopped while not having enough to trigger the auto payment and they've done it.

Zec seems to be down as well. And when I attempt to check stats I get

504 Gateway Time-out
