ETN Negative Luck

Ian 6 years ago updated 6 years ago 9

Negative luck for ETN on whattomine is now 50%.  A few days ago it was 15%.  Any ideas on why it jumped up (or down)?  Also, why does ETN have more negative luck than other cryptonight coins?

Thanks.

Do you think ETN will get flooded with asic's when XMR forks?  Will that make it impossible to mine ETN with GPU's until ETN forks?

Does it make sense to switch to the xmr pool at that point?

Unlikely, as ETN announced to follow suit with the POW change.

My guess is that ETN is slow to adopt the change.  I'm switching over to XMR after we finish the current block on ETN.

Judging from whattomine's metrics its currently more profitable to mine Monero than Electroneum. I'm wondering if it wouldn't make more sense to bundle the resources and encourage all ETN miners to switch to the XMR pool. Opinions?

General Stance:

There are some people who have pumped out over 10KH/s and have gotten crap all for ROI. But there are also some people who just casually mine whenever and with whatever card they have(like me, I dont mine 24/7 because i only have one card, it would destroy it)

The ones who send all of their resources to ETN, would probably do the switch(they would get more in return). But the people who just casually mine, would probably stay.

My Stance:

I would like to stay because I dont want to start mining XMR and get very little from return(there are a lot of miners at the XMR pool anyway compared to ETN, so the reward for me would be lower), while ETN could be skyrocketing. I would like to stay because I would like to see how Richard and his group handles the asic issue (there could be some people who have the same opinion). Idk, but i've come attached to the etn community and i would like to see how it grows in the future

It'd probably be the most efficient thing to do.

I'm only making one last pull on smaller coins though - my old gaming PC took 3 months to cash out minimum on Monero at another pool (.10). It's too long to invest without a wallet payment for a hobbyist miner!

But for the actual miners it would make more sense to go where the money is!

I decided to stick with etn a little longer thinking we are due for some better luck. Turned out to be a good choice. Let's see if we can get another quick one!
