Let me know what sucks

While not an encouragement to forget about your manners, please let me know what in your opinion needs to improve to keep you mining here.

We need more hashing power so there is not such long wait between block rewards.

@Jim: I totally agree. I'm already promoting the pool whenever I can. It's hard with compete with giants like Antpool, Nanopool and Suprnova. I have a couple ideas tho.

+1

Anyone reading this thread please take it upon yourselves to promote this pool. Join Reddit or whatever and spread the word....

I'm already planning to spread word as far as I can because the community and support here is so great. However, I am waiting until I reach my first pay out to verify that goes through without an issue before evangelizing.

More hashing power, more blocks, correct display and calculation of hashs (mailed you about 40% decrease in stats). Just an idea but similar algorithm coin miners could be joined temporarily. I ve been mining mona for a month, there was something like 250-300 miners with 20+ GH/s but now we only can make 60 with 2+GH/s. Similarly Vertcoin is down to 40 miners. From time to time pool miners can be re directed from vert coin to mona or mona to vert coin to increase hash power.

elturco: Trust me, I have your email on the todo list. There's only so much that can be done in 24 hours. Regarding the drop of miners on the MONA and VTC pools: I believe many miners are following whattomine's advice these days and due to the drop in value of both currencies, miner's switched to different ones.

Hi Oliver! How's this TopMiners(24h) work, does it count top hashrate? If so, i can't find mine :) even though it's about 4KH/s...

rgz.

Can I have your wallet address? You can also open a private ticket if you do not want to share it here.

hi im only mining off my gpu but i have promoted this pool, i have just got 1 person mining through it and another 2 waiting for me to setup ccminer for them, ill try my best to get as many people mining your pool as possible as i like your low payout

Hi, this is not be specific to this mining site but...

Problem: The PPNLS kind of 'black-box' leap of faith.

One solution:    more transparency ( I _hate_ the wording "shares are silently dropped" )

If you can show in our graph the 'window' of shares[hashrates] used for at least the last block found.  You would enslave us to your site. :)

#MakeEveryShareCount

Good idea, just not trivial to implement but I'll try.

before i came to poolmining i was using a different ccminer, i was getting 60h/s, im not mithered but why am i only now getting 37h/s, im using 2 laptops now to get the same h/s as i was with the other ccminer, dw im staying here but can this be fixed or is it something to do with my setup

This sounds like an issue with your setup. What cards do you have? You're mining which coins?

im using 2 laptops one using a nvidea 740m and one with a 640m, using ccminer monerohash told me to get i was getting 60h/s with the 740m and 48h/s with the 640m but on this im getting a total of 54 h/s

Not sure I understand correctly, but did you try using the ccminer that was giving you the better hash on this pool?

Be careful. Laptops usually don't cope well with the continuous stress imposed on the hardware by mining.

its ok these are just laptops i have spare, im going to try the other ccminer n see if it works and will update

nope i thought i could access it through the other ccminer but it wont let me and theres no config file with it

Where did that ccminer work for you?

monerohash, basically instead of having a config file i think u manually enter it into the command window, but it just keeps throwing errors at me when i put this pools stratum data in

I wish to have shown the round's expected number of shares and total number of shares so far and total percentage of expected shares done and more precise hash rate which currently is way below expected hash rate and a better description of which port number to choose like i if you got X to Y Mh/s choose port Z

Hi,

I tried mining a couple of times and I see the claymore app hanging and the GPUs idling until I hit Ctrl-C and the next transaction continues a few minutes later I had a similar hang and again Ctrl-C . I have a small rig with only a few GPUs but I cannot monitor it all the time, with other bigger pools I do not have such issues for days long.

Please update your setup tutorial with the latest version of claymore, which you are pointing to download in the site, so I can check if and what is wrong with my setup with your pool, this can be useful for everyone new here.

Best Regards,

Tihomir Ivanov

Perhaps a lower payout threshold (so people would feel a bit satisfied for their miner's work) or a payout threshold that we can control. Also a better pool advertisement, which is key, such as its strengths like a very low fee. Also a better hashrate reading, which is again for people's satisfaction. Actually anything that can easily please a miner as it is already a very straightforward mining pool. Or make a slogan like "The longer you stay, The higher your Pay". You can quote me on that, or not. Hahaha

@Paul: Thanks for the suggestions and one question: What do you mean by "better hashrate reading"?

On the Monero summary page the difficulty currently states '75G' whilst previously solved blocks show difficulty as 'B' (69,13B).

Whilst I'm a complete newbie I suspect either of these two suffixes is incorrect or the difficulty is fluctuating at an extreme rate.

Apologies if posted in the wrong thread.

The values are correct. You can even verify this yourself by replacing the block number in the url below with each of your blocks. Just goes to show how crazy the Monero Difficulty has increased in just a couple months.

Hello,

I have changed my wallet because of a broken hdd and I am mining anew for more than 90 minutes and still do not see any statistics on the "My stats" page. In you FAQ you are saying 10 minutes per refresh the statistics. So far for more than 90 minutes I see that there are 820 shares accepted and still no data in the stats.

Please update the statistics refresh. In my previous wallet I have observed the same issue.

My current wallet is 0xa90e643bdc2f05520bb112db20111d8dab2e7d7a for Eth.

Hi,

An hour later, and 700 shares more, I still do not see any statistics. My rigs may be only a few hunderd MHs, but I do want to mine with a view what I mine.
Drop me a mail at lord.everon@gmail.com whenever you fix your pool accordingly and if you want more participants in you mining pool. I am supporter of the smaller pools and try to go away from the main competitors, but I require a good service.

BR,

Tihomir Ivanov

I see your stats just fine in both the compact dashboard and the full one. Where's the problem?

The problem is that I do not see them, neither on the statistics, nor the small board. Five hours later you can see:

A bug related to this was just fixed. Could you try again?

Unfortunately I still do not see any stats, any shares, any ETH balance

I see the reason now (I believe), should have paid more attention during math classes. The G is an abbreviation of Giga and B an abbreviation of Billion, the same thing at the end of the day. My bad.

Nothing but your continued vigilance in running the pool well.  Every hash I have is, and will continue to be, pointed at this pool.  It should make no difference in the long term anyway, and it feels really extra good mining here when we do actually score a block.  Traditional kinds of junkies don't know what their missing!

Ongoing improvements are of course applauded though from my perspective I don't know of any element here that would be capable of dissuading me from mining at our plain little pool.  And being grateful for the opportunity.

Wow. Thanks a lot. This means more to me than you might think.

I'll tell ya what sucks, I finally get back to mine on this pool and the day I do, I lose a board and we get orphans. I do love the new full dash board. Oliver I'm here as long as I can be. Gotta get the D3 repaired, I was SO damn excited. It will be here til it cant be, One boeard down and another running at 84 degrees... with a shit ton of errors. Thank you for your continued dedication to we the miners and this pool.

hi oliver, would you be able to implement how many hash's each worker has contributed, not a big issue but a mate wants to cpu mine to my wallet so was going to work out his contibution to my account and pay him like that as its abit fairer lol, not a problem if it cant be done ill just do it off his average h/s

That should be doable.

thanks, love this pool, keep up the good work :)

Hi Oliver,

I would like to have an user interface similar to nanopool, specially the chart, where the found shares are shown in 10 minutes interval. Having this I can easily monitor the progress of my miner.

Thanks !

A great thing that can be added is related to statistics. Here would like to be able to see how many shares has submitted each worker, as a number.

Another cool feature would be a table where to see number of found shares by hour.
This nice features are from nanopool. Some of you may be annoyed by the fact I keep saying about nonopool, This features in nanopool helped me a lot to improve the performance of my mining rig and I want to continue to improve the rig.

gabby: a little off topic but 1 vega doing 43.6 and current 68?  really what soft you using.  wow numbers.

back on topic.  ya a little more breakdown be nice.

I'll give you a short answer to not spam the thread. I'm using softPowerPlayTable registry configuration for the performance improvement for Vega and also some not default options for claimore like -estale 0 and -dcri 10.

Terry, tell me, please, where should I detail more. In my head every thing is clear :D

I think it would be simpler if instead of loading a separate "Full Dashboard" instead place a button to switch the pool hash graph to personal miner hash graph. The miner payments tab could appear next to the "Top Miners" tab (call it My Payments). Meanwhile the workers list could  remain displayed where they are currently on these main pages for each pool.

Because, I like to check the pool stats regularly. With the new separate "Full Dashboard" I need to load two web browser tabs to get the info I desire. However, if more personal miner content will be added to the Full Dashboard page then I understand if we keep the two pages separate.

off topic: gabby you on bitcointalk, dont think we can pm here.

Let say a pool only have two miners.

The first has many high-end GPUs and can push 1 GH/s.

The other only has an old ARM based cell phone and can push 10 H/s.

After many days of mining the pool finally found a blocks!
But what if [since it is always luck] it was the lower miner who found the block...

From my understanding, with the current payment scheme, he will have next-to-nothing has reward.

Giving the importance of finding blocks... could we add to the payment scheme a guaranty minimum % of the reward to the miner who found a block ?

:)

Is there a way to see which miner has found the block?

It is possible to show which miner and also each miners total blocks found.

But not we the current dashboard.

Hope it is in Oliver todo list...
