Monero and Electroneum Pools now supporting SSL/TLS

Oliver 6 years ago updated by Terry Unkperson 6 years ago 8

I've enabled SSL/TLS Support for the Monero and Electroneum Pools. The "Getting started" Sections for both pools have been updated with instructions on how to connect using SSL/TLS.

  • For the Monero Pool add 100 to the port number you've previously connected to
  • For the Electroneum Pool add 10 to the port number you've previously connected to

Miner configuration

  • For ccminer and Claymore change the protocol from stratum+tcp to stratum+ssl
  • XMRig does currently not support SSL

I just tried to use port 3112 and wasn't able to get a connection to the electroneum pool... Did I do it incorrectly?

Under review

Could you try again?

I downloaded XMRIG 32 bit for ETN cpu mining but when I copied & pasted the ETN wallet address in the text editor & run the extracted .Exe file,it says invalid wallet address while it was correct.Why I am facing this problem 😢

Here's what I'm seeing, and my config:

"max-log-rate" : 30,
     "quiet" : false,
     "debug" : false,
     "protocol" : false,
     "cpu-priority" : 3,
     "algo" : "cryptonight",
     "url" : "stratum+tcp://etn.poolmining.org:3112",

Let me know if I need to update anything.

i believe for ssl you just put url as ssl://etn.poolmining.org:3112

or change word tcp to ssl

When I try that, I get:

ccminer-x64: no URL supplied

Not a big deal for me, just had some free time and thought I would try it out...

Instructions updated.

yep i am on the ssl with around 20-40KH on monero.  thanks!
