D3 Dash Newbie config

Bandar 6 years ago updated by Craig 6 years ago 14

Hi guys

I just bought a D3 and came across your pool. You seem to be fairly active and cooperative so I intend to stay here.

I have tried my best to follow guides to setup the miner but I wanted to hear from you if I have managed to goof up somehow ..... please take a look at my settings and feel free to point out any rookie mistakes I might have made

Thanks in advance

Actually your working only for the pool - not for you... ;-)

As User you have to select YOUR OWN Dash wallet address then its working for you...

https://poolmining.org/pool/dash#pool-help

As a new user... be careful about the following:

1. minimum payout is 0.1 dash - with one D3 you need actually 12-15 days to reach this limit.

2. Pool had big problems the last 60 hours - like all small p2p dash pools. But since 12h it seems that it is running normally again.

yes I put my own dash wallet address for user.....

i was worried about the accepted/discarded ratio for example . The nonce# too

As a rough guide of performance how much dash should a new D3 at 19 Gh accumulate after 24 and 48 hours ..... I am just trying to get an idea here

By the way Happy 2018 folks ... hope everyone has a great year!

Here 0.003 - 0.007 / day

On "MonsterPools" or with PPS System 0.0035 - 0.0055 /day.

Because of some Problems on the dash blockchain (few days ago) I monitored our and 4 other pools...

Is there anyway to see more detailed stats for my worker? the one here are very minimal ... its easy to add a chart or two on the webpage

I also notice that on this Dash pool my D3 doesnt shows 0 for "FoundBlocks" but on nicehash in every 24 hours cycle it had 1 or 2

Is that a problem ?

Found blocks don't matter when pool mining. Thats a solo mining thing. Thus far I have only found blocks mining CANN and MUE. On another note , once you get things figured out with your D3 and the warranty is dead you may want to look at BlissZ firmware for the D3. Allows for much more control of the miner and its capabilities. Also kills the warranty. Heres a link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2346161.0  If you want to do some research.

I already flashed BlissZ firmware on my D3 but then restored back to stock as I didnt see the extra benefit worth the fee going to the developer. Can D3's do solo mining ? I thought they always need to connect to a pool.

I think you can solo on "asspool". i think monetary unit (MUE) but i'm still researching that one.

I know this might be a hopeful question on my part but does anyone know about a locked Bitmain APW3++ PSU ? I switched my miner on and off from the wall switch and now its now working.

I checked Bitmain website and it says if my fan is working but the power is not coming through, it means the PSU is locked up. Anyone have any experience in this matter ?

I experienced something similar my first day with my APW3++ and my D3.  For me, the fix was to unplug the PSU Power cord and leave it off for a couple minutes after the PSU fans quit running. (About 2 minutes or so for me)  Once I powered it back on, that seemed to reset everything to normal.

If you happen to be in an extremely cold environment, sometimes it can get cold enough to lock up the power supplies. I've had to "jumpstart" my garage miners using a small space heater following a short power outage in sub-zero temps recently. Just take them into a slightly warmer environment or slowly warm up the area they are in. Be careful of condensation with sudden changes in temp.
