Seriously, You Cannot Expect Us to Stay Mining Dash Here

DASHMINER2 6 years ago updated by Oliver 6 years ago 9

7 of 8 found blocks orphaned. I am requesting a payout after the one lone block we did find that wasn't orphaned matures. I am outta here.

You will get your payout but there's no need to attack me. I've worked on the issue until 5 in the morning when I collapsed into my bed. It's hard to solve a problem which you have no reasonable explanation for.

Keep at it, Support. We've all been in these situations before, spending hours wracking our brains trying to figure out an unfiguroutable problem. If there's a solution to be found, you'll find it. Ignore the shitheads that obviously haven't had to work through any actual problems in their lives.

My miner will stay here in the mean time. (Your pool is prettier).

I'm not gonna lie, it was upsetting, I have 75 miners with you. It was a costly loss.

I understand your frustation but I can assure that we've done everything humanly possible to ensure that the pool is not a fault for this. No blocks is bad for the miners and bad for the pool, period.

This chart provides a clear indication that Antpool's Hashpower has crossed 50% for the majority of the recently mined blocks which closely resembles a classic 51% attack - even if unintentional.

So, it's possible that those "jumping ship" so-to-speak (and potentially going to Antpool) are actually exacerbating the issue. Interesting. I wonder if Antpool will make an effort to reduce their hashrate below the threshold.

I don´t believe in this theory.

Why?

Because antpool only reach the 51% as peaks. In our orphane period only once a time (for 100 blocks) and only two from our orphaned blocks are within this period.

I count 19 51% peaks since antpool started. Roundabout 6000 blocks within 60000 are affected from this peaks.

But only on the last (the actual peak) we get so much orphanes. Dash orphane history shows no orphane peaks on the other 51% antpool peaks.
