Which coin is better now vertcoin or monacoin?

I have been on monacoin for the past few days but have had these 500%+ difficultly runs and wondering how vertcoin is fairing and the overall profitability is with that coin given I’m about to go from 2 1080 gtx to 4 1080 gtx.

I'd say they are pretty even. You get several <100% effort blocks with a ~150+% block here and there that kinda evens it out. It's variance and past historical deviations from mean don't guarantee same results in an upcoming time frame. In the long run (weeks), the means should be more or less similar though between VTC and MONA.


Basically what I'm trying to say is that you can't make a conclusion that just because VTC had a better run over the past week, it is going to have a better run next week as well.

If I had 4 GTX 1080s, I would just mine both - just have two configs, one for mona and one for vert, and call it twice with the -c option to specify the config file, and -d to split your devices up (or set up "devices" in the config file).


Though I would more than likely spread the risk further and have 1 device per coin, and select a couple of other coins for the other new cards. :)
