Is the a amount / block payout rule of thumb?
Just started doing some mining here and I was wondering if there was a general rule of thumb or relation with the number of blocks you mine and the payout amount?

Sean, please read this.
I did see that but that really doesn't answer my question. I was looking for something like "on average you earn 0.0001 XMR per share" or something like that.
A calculation like that is only possible for a pool using PPS (Pay-Per-Share). Providing a forecast like that for PPLNS requires pretty much to do a simulated payout run every now and then which is quite resource intensive for the pool.
Ok thanks
