Bitcoin Mining

Greetings,

New user here; my friends and I have been looking for a small pool to join and like what you have setup here. I pointed some Dash miners today to try you guys out, and was curious if there were any plans to adding Bitcoin mining down the road?

I understand the considerations you have to make with regards to profitability, network difficulty, resources, etc. Just curious since we are investing into the Bitmain S9 batch for January :)

Until now I did not consider adding a BTC pool because of the chinese quasi-monopoly over the network hashpower. But if you guys are serious about it we can give it a shot. Just let me know when you are ready. Getting a pool up only requires to add a configuration section to our pool cluster and running the daemons. All in all it would take two days to get it all running (because of the time needed to sync the 150 GB BTC chain).

Thanks for the response! I will follow up with you in January if we can pull enough resources together to give it a go. It might be worth while to poll existing users to see how many would be interested in pointing any Bitcoin miners here next Spring.

I think it's time break up the quasi-monopoly in this space.
